Large Scale Sequence Analysis of Avian Influenza Isolates

Fig. S1. Phylogenetic analysis of 4,339 AIV genes.

ML trees were produced for 396 PB1, 395 PB2, 418 PA, 691 HA, 520 NP, 531 NA, 766 M, and 622 NS genes. Novel clades populated by virus genes sequenced in this study are noted with vertical blue brackets. Numbers at the bottom of each tree define the scale bar in expected changes per site. Red boxes illustrate members of a gull family of viruses that share PB2, PA, NP, M and NS genes. The virus identifiers in each clade are visible in the high-resolution figures S2 through S9.
